We are also collecting food to sell: soda, chips, granola bars, fruit snacks, etc. If you’d rather donate a  Publix gift card, we will take care of the shopping. Summer Camp

Registration is open for Warren Willis Camp 2013! For over 64 years children, youth, and adults have been coming to camp to reconnect with their creator and with the Christian Community. For more information visit www.warrenwilliscamp.org.

 

 

 

 

Laundromat Outreach Program Here at FUMC

For some time now FUMC has a new outreach program taking care of some of the immediate needs of homeless folks. Every Tuesday,  homeless men and women are welcomed into our Gathering Place facility to take a "hot" shower, followed by an opportunity to do their laundry at a local Laundromat. Program is in need for more volunteers and financial support. Your donations to this fund are needed, just mark your donation “Homeless Laundromat Outreach" either on your check or envelope. Yoga Classes at FUMC

MECE Camp

MECE Preschool and Kindergarten is happy to offer CAMP MECE this summer for children ages 2 1/2 (and potty trained) thru 6 years old from 9am-2pm. Camp will be held June 17-21, June 24-28, July 8-12, and July 15-19. Cost is $150 per week with a two week minimum. Camp activities include: Arts and Crafts, Music, Dance, Storytelling, Bible time, Dramatic play, Explorations, Water play, sports and much more! Snack and lunch are provided by parent. Celebrate Recovery

Lives are changing!  Over 700,000 people have gone through the Celebrate Recovery program in more than 17,000 churches worldwide.  Celebrate Recovery is a program designed to help those struggling with “Life’s Stresses.”  The good news is that Celebrate Recovery meets here at FUMC every Tuesday evening on the East Campus, starting with dinner at 6pm and Large Group Worship at 7pm.  You don’t need a reservation to attend.  Just come and you will be met with a warm welcome!  (Nancy Runhaar nrunhaar@fumcbocaraton.org  561-395-1244 x124)

 

May Mission Envelopes

Our blue Mission Envelope giving this month will be for Florence Family Promiseand the Florida Outreach Ministries Work Area.Family Promise addresses the needs of homeless families in South Palm Beach County. Blue envelopes are found within your box of envelopes, or in the Sanctuary, Chapel & GP.

  • Family Promise of South Palm Beach County is a charitable organization composed of a network of faith communities. It is the faith community’s response to homelessness for families with children. The program brings immediate but temporary shelter, meals, and support services to homeless families. FUMC is a host church and, as such, houses up to 14 guests, for one week, four times a year, at the260 House (the the former parsonage of St. Gregory's Episcopal Church).   • Outreach Ministries Work Area – These funds are the only monies available for the Outreach Committee to use for new work areas.  The Outreach Committee does not ask for any money to be included in the annual church budget.
